Preparing to begin...

We have just a little over a week until we leave for Kenya and all of the preparations for the trip are made. As soon as Jodi and I figure out what exactly to pack we'll be ready to walk out the door next Wednesday. The trip there will take us from Wichita to Chicago, to London and then we will arrive in Nairobi around 20 hours later.

Jodi, as many of you know, will be working at the hospital on her final clinical rotation for physical therapy school during our two months in Africa.
My job is still unknown to me but I have faith that the Lord will use the skills He has blessed me with to serve the people of the Kijabe community.

We invite you to follow us via these blog postings and we ask that you continue to pray for us every day through our journey.

More to come.
Brian

  3. It's so hard to believe that today our little Jodi from Horn Creek is leaving as a missionary to Kijabe. Harry and I are praying for you. Your picture is on our refrigerator (where ALL great works of art start off!). It is our daily reminder to pray for you. I also have a friend at our church, The Village Church Northway, that leaves for Kijabe the first of February for 6-12 months. I so hope that y'all can meet up while you are both there. Her name is Amanda Goble. She is partnering with LOI...Lost Orphans International. she will be living with the Mendonsa family in Kijabe helping them to build Naomi's Village. This will be a home to host 100 orphans.
Can't wait to hear what is happening in Kijabe!! Y'all are in for the most amazing time as you are doing the Lord's work. We LOVE YOU!! Patti and Harry

  4. Hi Kids!!

Mom and Dad say Hi, and that you finally made it to Kijabe. Not hearing from/about you for so long was a little nerve racking. We'll talk more later.
We are so proud of you guys and know the Lord has you in His protection. Just remember, "God will never lead you to where the grace of God cannot keep you". From reading your first e-mail about flight cancellations and changes, God is doing just that.

    Love,Mom and Dad Enz
